Marco Grob - Communication Photoshoot
In this project I look at a very specific photo shoot that Marco Grob took of the famous actor and stuntman Jason Statham. I have chosen to review photos of marco grob due to his individuality and the different skills he has to offer.
Did This Photoshoot Fit Into Your Theme?
This is focusing on the element of communication. I analyse the different techniques that Grob has used to indicate the feelings and thoughts of Statham, I also look to see how I can incorporate these into my work. In addition to this effects the image as a whole and what people think after looking at the image.
What Were You Aiming To Do In This Photoshoot?
In this Photo shoot I was aiming to create some advanced photography whilst trying to express my point of communication across to the viewer yet still using various techniques and methods from both Marco Grob and Joe McNally. This way I can learn important techniques and the ability to apply these around a subject I am expressing within the photograph. By analysing the images from Grob it allows me to see the possibilities of using communication as a key starting point of photography and how it effects your image, on the other hand it helps me to learn how important communicating is in our lives and what kind of things it helps us with.
What Were You Influenced By During The Planning Of This Photo Shoot?
Following on from Joe McNally, I wanted to find a high quality of photography yet still focusing on portrait photography with lots of facial expressions and unique images, this allowed me to thoroughly look through the images and pick out what worked well.
What Did You Learn Throughout This Photo Shoot?
I learnt on what communication adds to an image, I also learnt that photography can be just about anything as long as you think hard about the connection and take this into consideration when photographing and planning your project.
What Didn't Work In Your Photo Shoot?
The link between my images and Marco Grob's wasn't that strong, to improve this I could of added a black and white technique to my images. Although having said this I used multiple techniques from the Grob photo shoot into my project therefore there was a viable link between the two.
